Our Philosophy

The Beehive Hair Studio is a salon with heart and soul. With over 25 years of experience, we want to share our knowledge and enthusiasm for the art of hair design. Everything we create with hair is accomplished with pride and integrity using progressive techniques. We believe in designing hair that reflects you as an individual because we appreciate your uniqueness. Being a salon that is individualistic, we recognize how important it is to personalize your hair style so you can still be you, but at your very best.

The Owners


Sabrina began her career in 1984 apprenticing and working at Vidal Sassoon, known for their precision cutting techniques. She then worked as a stylist at The Robin Barker Salon, a reputable salon in Toronto. Haircolour is Sabrina's special area of experise and she has worked as a colour technician at the internationally acclaimed Michael Kluthe Salon.

Sabrina has performed on stage demonstrating advanced haircutting techniques at hair shows across Ontario including the ABA, the largest trade show in Canada. Her work has been published in Chatelaine, Canadian Living, the Toronto Sun and Salon Magazine.

Sabrina enjoys participating in charitable events, which include, the Parkinson Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation, and Martha House Women's Shelter.


Stephan began his career as a hair stylist in 1982. He worked at Robin Barker's Hairforce, one of Toronto's more exclusive salons, seen on the Cityline T.V. show. He has performed with the "Loreal In Focus Artistic Team" on stage at the ABA in Toronto. Two years later he became head instructor at The Hairforce Academy, where he taught seminars to experienced stylists.

Stephan's work has been published in the Toronto Sun, Flare, Chatelaine, Styles & Stylists and Salon Magazine. In 1991, Stephan was nominated for the "Canadian Hairstylist of the Year" competition. He later joined the Designers Edge of Halifax to perform stagework in Canada and the U.S.A..

Stephan is involved in charities such as, The Hospital for Sick Children, Parkinson Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation and Martha House Women's Shelter.

The Stylists


Julie Sousa is a multi-talented artist. She is a hairstylist colourist as well as specializing in make-up artistry. A graduate of Sheridan College's Cosmetic Techniques program, she has been with The Beehive for 6 years.

Julie has also ventured out involved with photography, creating hairstyles and make-up for CD covers and model portfolios. Julie's work has been featured in The Toronto Star and Toronto Sun newspapers.


Dedicated employee, Nancy Costa manages all areas of the salon. A Beehive asset and multi-tasker, she works with Sabrina as a junior colour tech as well as blowdry services.
